When you are born you breathe with your belly naturally. During your life, your breath starts to travel up it seems! And so, just by living we use less and less of our lung capacity. By doing so, the lower part of your lungs are no longer in full use and are not as active as they should be. This in turn can create respiratory problems in the course of your life.

Embodying Full Yogic Breathing in your life will help you to use your lungs more efficiently during daily life and activities. Regular practice will expand your lungs and torso to their maximum capacity.

If your lungs are less active you are no longer able to keep them healthy and to clear out the accumulated mucus, dust and dirt from the bottom of your lungs. Let me give you an example: once you are done with washing dishes, the used water is drained by pulling the plug from the sink. Your lungs do not have a plug to pull, the only way accumulated dirt can get out is going up!

Once Three-Part Breath is learned properly, it provides the understanding how to breathe when you continue your practise in follow up breathing exercises of Yoga Knowhow. We offer different breathing exercises as part of the Pranayama toolbox, like: Ujjayi, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika and others.
